The BETA, alien beings of unknown origin and intent, are destroying humanity. Backed up against a wall, the remaining survivors enact a desperate plan called Alternative V. This plan is to send a colony of hundreds of thousands to a nearby star system in the hopes of preserving the human race. With hope secured, humanity launches a desperate counter-offensive with the hope that the alien menace can be ended once and for all. But the road to hell is paved with good intentions...
