As Road to Wassaic begins to come around the corner in the next couple of hours I might as well come up with something very unique and something RARE that I've never did before on my channel. Which is post about trains other than the Metro-North. This video is a special video, as I bring you guys the Station Tours of the MTA LINE 7 and for the first time ever in my life I rode the LIRR for the first time as I did a station trial on the Woodside Station. I was overwhelmed how similar and intense the atmosphere was when I stepped into the platform of Woodside. The station overall was big, it had 3 different platforms and filled with tracks, the first ever train I saw was the familiar M7 train except it's converted to the M7A and colored yellow! I was amazed once I heard the train enter the station as it did stop at the station and once it left I believe it was going to enter Long Island territory. Once I made the walk around the station I also saw different trains including the Budd M3 EMU which is also another converted train from the Metro-North, and the locomotive! This train goes to the branches in which don't have 3rd Rail technology, and it honestly looked very cool because of its 2 floor cars which I've seen before on the NJT and Amtrak. Another thing to note here is the number of trains I've saw in this entire video, it was a lot! Also you can see the 7 train entering the station, it was a great experience already on the LIRR. I wanted to take it home but I had to do literally a journey to get home. So once I left the Woodside station; I took the 7 to 74 St; transferred to the F train at Broadway and took it until Kew Gardens/Union Turnpike then I transferred to the E to Sutphin BLVD/Archer Ave/JFK and from there... my heart skipped a beat. For the first time ever; it being my childhood dream to ride the LIRR was witnessed! I entered the Jamaica station and took the 5:20 train to Atlantic Terminal which was about 20 minutes and from there I went home on the B. So in order for me to begin my LIRR tours; either Penn Station or Atlantic Terminal will be my Point A for the tours! Again these tours will begin next month with the date TBA. I hope you guys enjoy this video and stay tuned for more this month as it'll be an action packed month of both simulators and tour uploads!
