UPDATE: The problem is not the file size. It does not work on 800x1000 either, and with no tablet it still lags. It seems to be a problem with CS5, as I have only recorded CS2 previously... Tips?

UPDATE 2: Well, CS2 works fine in 3000x3000 while CS5 can't even hold up with 800x1000. Guess I'll have to use CS2.
