SPEERDUN (updated): Bad neighbourhood - C&C Covert Operations (Tiberian Dawn)
98Time taken: 6 minutes 53 seconds. NO GAY SANDBAGS. Now I was taking a look at my previous speedrun of Bad Neighbourhood and realised how slow it was - the video was over 12 minutes, and anything above 8 minutes to me is too long (I can make exceptions for exceptionally hard missions; bad neighbourhood isn't one of them).
Furthermore, Nyerguds said that he achieved the same in-game completion time as my old vid, though at 2 speed bars less. Now I strictly believe in measuring my speedruns in real time (and they MUST done constantly in the maximum speed possible to man - 6 bars out of 7, which I always do), but I'm flexible and accommodating dude so I went by in-game time instead when redoing the mission. The result: 20 game minutes shorter, corresponding to almost half the real time needed. TD just got better ;)
Command & Conquer is the pioneer game which spawned the entire C&C series. An award-winning title, it centres on the war between two factions - the Global Defence Initiative which is an international defence body crafted by the United Nations. and the Brotherhood of Nod, an organisation led by a charismatic self-proclaimed Messiah called Kane. The war focuses on an anomalous mineral called Tiberium, of which its value is interpreted differently by the two factions.
The Covert Operations features 15 new missions with special scenarios and objectives for both sides, adding more flavour to the original campaigns.
