Trying out Tiberian Dawn Online (CnCnet)
46I didn't let anyone know this, but while I away I actually sneaked in for a while (so much for my hiatus -.-) to try out what a TD game feels like online - how ironic it is that my first online game would be 20 years after I first started playing it! Yes I know what you're thinking: I'm playing TD like I'm playing RA. It's true, given that my understanding of the former is very minimal.
In my opinion, Tiberian Dawn certainly lacks the excitement and fast pace of Red Alert. Shifting vehicles is a lot easier here since there is no Q that you have to multitask with. The game is purely a tanking one since cy-ing isn't viable. Nevertheless it's still good fun; I've always preferred the upbeat music and comical voices in TD to the dark, serious tone of RA. TD is also more well-balanced while RA generally confers too many advantages to the Soviets.
