Two years after the demise of the Green Goblin, the life of Peter Parker cannot be any more unstable; Peter grapples with his double life as a college student and a superhero career as the amazing Spider-Man. With his friendship with Harry Osborn on thin ice and his relationship with Mary Jane Watson on the rocks, Peter’s duties are further complicated when his mentor, Dr. Otto Octavius, was involved in a freak accident that causes his mechanical apparatus to be neurologically bonded with him. Now calling himself Doctor Octopus, Octavius strives to recreate the same experiment that caused his accident, but New York City will be destroyed as a result. The fate of New York City is left in the hands of Spider-Man as he clashes with new and past foes, as well as a mysterious cat burglar, in order to make New York City safe once again.
