Part one of a playthrough of Spider-Man for the Sony Playstation by Activision and Neversoft. Spider-Man sets out to clear his name and defeat the villians that threaten New York's safety.

Manhattan's rooftops serves as the introductory level of the game and lets players learn and get used to the game mechanics. Spider-Man has the ability to swing with his webs to cross chasms and hazards. His swings will automatically target the closes wall, so it can take some getting used to when it comes to having him swing in the right direction. He can also zip to nearby surfaces by holding down the swing button as well.

Spider-Man has a handful of ways to dispatch enemes. He can punch or kick them or use his webbing as a weapon. His web attacks allow him to entangle enemies, pull them in a direction, impact them as a projectile or even create an explosive shield around Spider-Man.
