Black Cat takes center stage in The Heist and what happens to her at the end of the story is a bit tragic. Although she tricks Spider-Man into helping her out by misleading him about her son, she is doing what she can to make as much money as possible to get out of the "game" even if it puts her in the crosshairs of Hammerhead and the Maggi.
Felicia gets away from the Maggi and Spider-Man, but Hammerhead is two steps ahead of her and has rigged her penthouse to explode when she arrives. Peter tries to make it in time to stop her, but he witnesses her open the door and her apartment go up in flames.
Peter seems to believe that Black Cat is gone, but players will notice that she had a smile on her face before she opened her door.
In the comics, Felicia Hardy possesses more than just an above average physique and athletic ability, she can actually manipulate probability fields around her and cause "bad luck." It's not clear if this version of Black Cat can do the same, but it's a bit too convenient for Felicia to bite the dust at the end of the first chapter.
The main campaign of Marvel's Spider-Man dealt a lot with the relationship between Peter and Mary Jane. At the start of the main story, they were exes but eventually navigated their complicated friendship and became a couple again.

The revelation is a shock to Peter, as he starts to wonder if he's the father. This thread goes on throughout The Heist story. Mary Jane handles the situation like an adult, but in the last scene things get interesting.
After the credits roll, Mary Jane and Peter are sitting in their favorite diner talking about the events with Black Cat. Turns out that she doesn't actually have a son and was playing Spider-Man the entire time. Peter is down because of what happened to Felicia (more on that below) and Mary Jane asks if he was relieved to not have a child. Pete says he's not ready for that, and MJ tells him he'd be a great dad ... in the right time. Parker replies "with the right person" as the two smile at each other.
