...Could Tobey Maguire appear as Uncle Ben in the upcoming Spider-Man sequel?
With the return of JK Simmons' J. Jonah Jameson in the mid-credits scene of Spider-Man: Far From Home, and the announcement of Jamie Foxx returning as Electro in the upcoming sequel, this could possibly hint at a multiverse connection between the past franchises!
While an on screen crossover of Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland seems like the supposed implication of these announcements…. Who's to say the actors aren't ALREADY in the MCU?
It might seem like a stretch, but the idea of Tobey Maguire playing the MCU's version of Ben Parker could work really well if done right! He IS in the age range to convincingly be Tom Holland’s Uncle Ben (we already have a younger Aunt May with Marisa Tomei!) And Tom Holland has even expressed interest in wanting Tobey to play his Uncle Ben!
Having him play Uncle Ben would make it all the more meaningful for Tom’s Peter Parker, as well as the audience, if we get to see Tobey’s Peter enter the MCU (through some sort of multiverse shenanigans).
