Spiker Longplay (Arcade Game)
- Spiker Longplay (Arcade Game) -
Released in 1986 by Bally Sente for arcades, Spiker immediately found a high spot in my list of disliked sports games, lol. Let me clarify—I did find it to be an enjoyable beach-volley video game featuring one-on-one gameplay. However, there's a rather substantial hurdle—the AI opponent is no walk in the park or - better said -a tricky, slap-worthy face dude, lol.
This cunning rival has quite the strategy: starting strong, feigning weakness, then launching a counterattack with a cheeky celebration each time he scores, which doesn't exactly endear him to you, lol. Mastering his behavioral patterns becomes crucial—anticipating his offense, predicting his conservatism, and preparing for surprise assaults.
Kid you not, the guy prompted countless ragequits at my local arcade back in the day (the trackball didn't help, either) so, patiently deciphering his tactics becomes key to success. Hang in there and your character - if victorious - will be joined by an attractive young woman in a beach attire...
Ps. Game starts at 00:43
