For those unaware, Scootaloo is my all-time favorite pony! She's my favorite pony to write songs about by far, and I always love tackling some of the more intricate parts of her life and her struggles. This song tackles her desire and resolve to one day fly high into the sky, and her melancholic thoughts as she realizes that her dreams may never come true. She appreciates her flight simulator, sure, but she knows deep down that it's simply an imitation, and she desperately craves the freedom that her broken wings can't give her.
Sure hope that's sad enough for you! I ought to make my next song a little brighter, huh?
This song is my first (but absolutely not my last) collab with Lamoni, a very good friend of mine with a fantastic voice! We've wanted to work together on a song for a good long while, and I'm happy to say that we managed to make it happen and I'm incredibly happy with the result!
