A first-wave Inkjet to deal with two adjacent Stingers seems an overreaction, but it's effective and I'm not going to judge. I just grab a couple of eggs and blast my way back towards the basket, pausing to miss a Fish Finger and unintentionally dodge a Maws. I get to the basket and wait for the Maws who has lost interest in me, but splat her anyway, and move on to a Lid a squidmate drops. That lets me see the Big Shot who two of us splat quickly, and freeing up the cannon for egg shots. Back to the basket, where a squidmate is revived with an Inkstrike, another interesting choice, and I decide to head down to a Stinger, given that I have the blaster. Or I would, if I wasn't splatted by said Stinger. It's not just me either. We're dropping like flies, and I can't attract the attention of the last inkling standing, so I just wait where I am until they find me. It's a little touch-and-go, but we make it to the end of the wave.

The second wave gives us Mudmouths, so this should go better. I have the E-litre 4K, so I keep the Cohock population under control, and deliver any eggs I can get my tentacles on. Having more room, not being high tide, makes things less frantic, and we still cram a good number of eggs in to the basket. It was certainly more relaxing than the first wave.

Speaking of high tide, that's what we get for the final wave, and I have the Splattershot Pro to deal with it. Our Inkjetter pulls out their second for two more adjacent Stingers, which kinda feels like they always had a plan, and we get half-a-dozen eggs out of it. A Maws at the basket delivers, once I get a Cohock off my back, but a Chum is tolerable as I splat a Fish Finger. Things escalate again when three Stingers appear, and I can't reach them. One is splatted by a squidmate, but my procrastination gets me properly stung, and we're down to one once more. We're all revived, inkling by inkling, and kept up thanks to a Wave Breaker, and some last-second stuffing gets us safely through the Run with a nice total.

But we're not finished yet. Joe's coming! And at high tide. That doesn't give us much room to play with. I get the Flingza Roller, which doesn't feel useful against Joe's wart, so it's good a squidmate gives us two Scrappers' worth of eggs to lob at it instead. I'm targeted next, and I just drag Joe on to Cohocks. I do what I can with the Roller, but aim to splat eggs conventionally rather than swat at the red patch, which kinda works but I also land in the drink. The extra Inkjet is activated to excellent effect, reviving me, clearing turf, and splatting a Steelhead, if only we weren't so far from Joe. I head back Joe's way, and use a Dolphin on a Drizzler, getting more eggs nearby, only to get swallowed by Maws, or mini-Joe. But never mind. More eggs! And right next to the red blob. Joe disappears before I can launch too many, and I get sidelined for the next lunge, but I get in to a good position for the next. And Joe's fate is set. One more lunge and Joe is vanquished. Woomy!
