As per the title, you can probably skip to the final minute of this battle for the important action. But as with many battles, a lot of the groundwork is done in the set-up. Maybe. Or it could just be me getting splatted by the Dynamo Roller.

I open my splatting account with a nice one on the Clash Blaster at the top of the column, and get a score-draw with the Dynamo Roller shortly afterwards. I would do better approaching them from behind. I run around a bit after that, really running around, until I run in to the Dapple Dualies. Another peek up the column finds the Splash-o-matic, but they duck backwards too quickly. I then help protect the basket, and nearly ambush the Dynamo Roller, but I miss a flick and stubbornly try for the squish, which gets me in to all sorts of bother than not even a Trizooka can fix.

I protect the basket for a good while next, although I pick completely the wrong time to drop out from hiding, unless I wanted to ambush absolutely no one. At least I recompose myself enough to get back to the basket, where I get a clean splat on the Dynamo Roller. From behind, of course. I try to go for a swift assault on the green basket, only to be missing one clam when I get close. Instead, I turn and destroy a Beakon, and run away at the feel of green ink lapping at my heels. I try again, finding the clam I need, but the green pressure is high, and I toss the power clam short in mild panic.

I ink around our basket a bit before moving up to help a squidmate, and pressing forwards looking for a second splat. I think I get a bit of a short straw against the Clash Blaster, but maybe the Dynamo Roller sprayed me with enough ink that a couple of mild misses finished the splat. I guess so. I am tempted after that to grab a dropped power clam, taking on the Dynamo Roller head-on, admittedly while they are threatened by a B-bomb. I underestimate my power and range compared to theirs, and am roundly splatted once more. But good news, we're now in the final minute! The bad news is that the green team take the initiative.

While I'm faffing around in the middle of the Gorge, one or more green inklings get to the basket with a power clam, and break our barrier, tossing in a few more clams for good measure. I get back and get a couple of defensive splats, but we have little time to respond, and have barely threatened their basket so far. Luckily, the clutch of splats from their scoring leaves a window of opportunity, and with some conscientious sharing of clams, we get to the basket with a power clam. Our Squiffer gets a splat, before being splatted. My Trizooka lets me do the same, and our squidmate with the power clam breaks the green barrier. Nice! Our last squidmate, the Flingza Roller, has in the meantime worked their way across the grate and on to the platform by the basket, letting them throw their clams in to the basket in relative safety, giving us the lead. Even nicer!

But it's not quite over, as we enter overtime. As I return, I realise I am the only squid standing on our team. That's good to know. I shouldn't do anything rash, so I sit back near the basket and watch for inkoming inklings. I also watch all three Triple Inkstrike bombs go flying past me and out of bounds, which is unlucky but good for us, and move in to position to splat the inkling juggling clams. I loiter in the same place, as the Dapple Dualies fly in to recover the dropped power clam, and nearly miss them, but get enough ink on them for our heroic returning Splattershot Pro to stop them scoring. And with that, the battle is won. Woomy!
