Splatoon is a brand new game for the Wii U, setting itself apart from all other titles Nintendo has brought to the table. In this series, I’ll be playing through the story mode Octo Valley, and seeing what this game has to show! I’m very excited for this project because I’ve been looking for a different game to play, something different from the core franchises that I play (Pokemon, Mario, GTA, etc), and this game is shaping up to be just that.
What is the Octo Valley Story Mode Campaign in Splatoon?
The Octo Valley story mode featured in Splatoon involves an evil nemesis of the Inklings named the Octarians. The Octarians built an underground facility known as Octo Valley, and ‘squidnapped’ several Zapfishes from their world. With that being said, the protagonist (main player) suits up into his Hero Suit, and must infiltrate their base to rescue all the Zapfishes, ultimately overcoming the Octarians!
In addition to the Octo Valley campaign, there are several other modes in Spatoon. I may look to cover these in separate videos and/or livestreams if y’all want. The more that I see the support and the interest, the more of this game I’ll put out. I hope you enjoy this paint-based shooter game, because I already know that I will!
Other game modes in Splatoon include Turf War, Hero Mode, Battle Dojo, and Splatfest. Additionally, for skilled players that are Level 10 and above, there is also Splat Zones, Tower Control, and Rainmaker. As pre-mentioned, I may tackle these modes separately :)
