1Splinter Cell Conviction - first 30 minutes - pt1of3 was recorded for educational and evaluation purposes - see it before you buy it. I think in 30 minutes, I recorded a nice game review using Moroz Video Capture program to capture the gamescreen on the same computer that I was playing. I also used a Moroz Video Converter to convert the final videos, split them into 10 min and put watermarks.
My specs:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 4Ghz (FSB:2000)
Memory: 4gb of OCZ Reaperz 1333Mhz DDR3 cl6-6-6-12
Video Card: Sapphiere Radeon 5750 1gb GDDR59128 bit memory interface) overclocked to 890Mhz on gpu and 5000Mhz on Memory.(boost 3fps extra).
HDD: To many hard drive 4Tb
OS: Windows XP SP3
Game settings: Everything is on maximum graphical setting 1280x720.
AVG fps: 30 frames per second(you can see fps on the right corner with some video card info). Without the recording my average was 30 fps for 1600x900.
Games has so problem on the video, it was skipping sometimes, like on my video and gameplay has a few sec low fps at the beginning of the mission - maybe preloading need quad core.
About the game:
Do I like it? Yes, I think it is mixed of classic Max Payne, Gear of Wars, a little bit of Scare Face movie, a little bit of Duke Nukem - thats how Duke should look like but with pigs, and a little bit of Mafia II(I think thats how Mafia II will look like if gameplay and graphcis concerns - we will see though). A good taste of Unreal III Engine as I believe, so far the best render I ever seen in the game 2010. Good shaders, nice AI, awesome render and shadows - beautiful graphics. It is better then Batman and same as Bioshock 2(Unreal). Good gamepay story too. Finished it in two days, dont have a time for multiplayers - gotta do my own game,application or technology developing so busy on that, I used video capture software that was developed by me to capture this video.
Is it worth to buy it - Yes. It is delivers a good experience even with singleplayer, have some Splinter Cell soul, but a little bit, cause there is no time to think in this game - you are going streight and kill. To bad that pistol has unlimited ammo, you can finish the game with one pistol, but I like that pistol so no problem to me. Wanna run maxed out like me? Get yourself Radeon 5750 or Radeon 5770 , GeForce GTX 260. Resolution higher then 1600x900 - required crossfire for Radeon 5750 to be in the avg 35 fps.
I would say this game is must to have. My game rating: 5 of out 5.
