While I didn't do a great job ranking up, I did learn a couple strategies while playing in Bronze 3 with only starter cards.
1. Death deck for low mana is great. Use Cursed Windeku for 6 mana and then either a low mana sneak or life leech monster. You can also use Dragon summoner for the +1 armor if you are confident they won't use magic.
2. Obsidian isn't quite the new Alric. Before you could spam magic in low bronze and win most matchups. Obsidian is still powerful as a starter deck but there are multiple counters to it now.
3. Kelya in mid to high mana matchups is good. You can run monsters with flying or dodge to have a high chance at missing, add heal or shield repair and your tank can last a long time. Also playing double opportunity with Seaweed and Deeplurker can be powerful.
4. Without the extra sneak attack cards I usually rent, Tarsa is much harder to play with. Tarsa still works but without the full sneak attack team I have a harder time winning with Tarsa.
5. General Sloan won me some matches in higher mana battles but I also think there are still ways to counter it. Life starter deck is still one of the weakest to me but perhaps I will learn more strategies with the life deck to apply and win more with.
