I, like many, was saddened by the news a while back that Halo Infinite's split screen feature was being cancelled. But this video isn't to rip on modern game companies, but rather to remember how great the days were when you'd head over with a bunch of your friends to a buddies place and you'd all play StarCraft, World of WarCraft, Call of Duty, - whatever your favourite game was at the time. Or you'd just sit on the couch with your family and play some Mario Party or Mario Kart - you can still do that last one however.

Because it's not just the modern gaming industry's fault, for those of us who remember those days, we are getting older and are more busy. I'm just sad for the generation who may not get to experience what those days were like.

In looking for footage of this game I searched for things like "Halo LAN party" or just "LAN party" and if you want to feel more hopeful, there are a lot of videos of people either having modern LAN parties, or putting up videos of old ones.

The main video I got some clips from was by a channel called TwoQuickOnes, where they had a Halo LAN party last year, and it looks like its an annual tradition for them. They are awesome for doing that and recording it for us.

I also got some footage from documentaries on the making of Halo 2 and Age of Mythology.
