Disclaimer: I used back up saves to reach room 2200 of the Endless mode which I feel is the best way to achieve the Specimen Researcher achievement as each Specimen required is randomly drawn for each 100 floors and some seem incredibly rare. Reaching room 2200 ensures that all of them are seen.
