This glitch involves me skipping the supercharge minigame in Spyro 2.

A double jump is a very important technique in Spyro 2 speedrunning. It allows you to gain more height so that you can reach certain places faster then you would normally reach them. You perform a double jump by Jumping (X), then charging in the air (■).
