Spike is technically not so difficult, not so easy in this challenge. What makes it hard is that that Stupid bird sometimes drops the power-up item close to Spike. It means Spike can unleash attack that can guarantee hit me. Damn you, bird.

Anyway, to win this challenge, do not let Spike eat the Red power-up item. If you don't, he will unleash firewave that can guarantee hit you. Also, don't get close to Spike or he will charge at you. His charging attack sometimes can miss, sometimes not. To be safe, keep a safe distance from him and he will not charge at you, but instead shooting at you.

You can let him eat the Blue power-up as it is very easy to dodge his attack.

My comment? This battle is mostly RNG thanks to Sgt Bird's dropping item random position. If I am lucky, he will drop it near me.
