Square Enix is going "AGRESSIVE" with AI in 2024 🤨
3Takashi Kiryu, the President and Representative Director of Square Enix, known for developing the Final Fantasy series, has announced the company's intent to extensively integrate artificial intelligence in both its development and publishing sectors this year.
In a New Year’s message on the Square Enix website, Kiryu highlighted AI as one of the key investment areas for the company, along with blockchain entertainment/web 3.0 and cloud technologies.
Regarding Takashi Kiryu's background, he has been a part of Square Enix for three years. His promotion to President came after a shareholder meeting in June 2023. Prior to joining Square Enix, Kiryu worked at Dentsu Innovation Initiative, focusing on emerging technological fields like the metaverse and web 3.0. The 2024 New Year’s letter marks one of Kiryu’s first significant public communications since assuming the role of President, offering insights into his strategic vision for Square Enix.
