Remember when Bowsette was a thing?

This track is at the point of the game when Gold Medal requirements start to become more strict, or even straight up impossible for certain tracks. It can be especially hard to avoid all of the walls and flowerbeds in your way. To rub more salt in the wounds, you also have Monty Moles to deal with at the end of each lap. I rarely ever get caught by them, but I believe you can mash the Item button to shake them off. If not done in time, they'll also hurt you after a while on top of slowing you down. Overall, not a fun time.

My best advice would be to grab a Sneaker from the last set of powerups, and then save it for the next lap where you can boost over the large flower bed at the beginning. For the first hedge maze, stick to either one of the sides so that you can get in a Drift Boost. There may be a large set of boost pads near the start, but those seem to hurt more than help.
