SRB2 Metal Reign Part 1 | Trip Playthrough

A Trip mod came out earlier this month, and I wanted to show her off at least once before the year ended, so I figured that I might as well kill two birds with one stone by also covering a level pack that released recently. It's only half completed according to the mod author, but it's kinda like S3&K where the first half is still really solid as a standalone experience.
There's an actual story, full zones, interesting gimmicks, boss fights, Chaos Emeralds to collect, and even slight moveset changes for the vanilla characters if you're into that sort of thing! I will say that it's very easy to get lost in these levels due to them being so expansive, and I don't really like most of the boss fights themselves due to them just being vanilla bosses with more HP. The last two are the worse offenders, being the three Egg Zappers in Palace Peaks and Metal Sonic in Fatal Fury. I already somewhat dislike the vanilla Metal fight due to having to code around him, but when you throw in a conveyor belt and a spike wall on top of that, it turns the dislike into absolute dread.
As for the Special Stages, they're mostly Blue Sphere-collecting minigames aside from 2 and 7, where 2 has you speedrunning Greenflower 1 while 7 has you go through a small snippet of a Death Egg remake from S3&K. The rest of them are somewhat trivial if you have an electric-based shield (especially since the mod lets you keep shields in between levels), but 3 and 5 basically encourages this.
In conclusion, I won't complain too much since the mod author is waiting until Part 2 to update everything. And I am interested to see where the plot goes since it reminds me of Sonic Time Twisted's plot a little bit.
