For as long as I can remember I always wanted to be a Spacer.
I'd see the guys playin on their souped up alienwares and I'd think to myself,
Man those guys, they're so goddamn cool.
I watched one guy fry another for the cheap thrills, it only cost him a few spacebux.
In those days, life was cheap, I mean.
it was pretty standard to see someone getting dragged into a gibber.
I'd go down to the guys in medical, and if they couldn't help me,
I'd have my way with the reageant extractor. Just to get myself off.
I didn't even care who was watching.
You never knew weather the engine was going to blow,
That lady watching sure wasn't.
Those engineers, what the hell did they know anyway,
They can barely hotwire a thermostat.
Hanging out on Goonstation, I'd never been so happy.
It didn't matter that Carlo shot himself out of an airlock -
just to see what would happen.
Human, Lizard, AI, Cowperson, We were just all guys trying to get by
without getting griefed by clowns and the syndicate.
Heck there were times when we griefed the clowns as well.
We were spacers, hanging out together, and hell, the future was a bright if 2d place to be!
