93TLDR:
1: After spawning in try to fit as many resource and factory nodes in your starting room before you have to expand out with an expansion node and after awhile just forget about resource nodes you can spend your resources on other things that will pay for themselves much quicker.
2. Avoid blazing oil & electromagnetic web, never pick them
3. Gravitate towards reactive spines & replicating foam since they synergize with each other and together will counter everything you will face.
4. I couldn't demonstrate this in the video but don't waste too much res chasing after kills, especially on a guy who doesn't have anything, if you expand 13 tiles to kill one person that's a blob node's worth of res, although if you do it to catch captain and destroy his self recharging laser gun that's more than worth it.
