Stackathon Presentation: Behold, ScentyAnt Life!
1This is a P5.play project I made because I was curious about how relatively unsophisticated agents with no knowledge of their global environment can cooperate to explore a solution space. It is an ant simulator where the ants leave scent-trails to organize their behavior. The ants are wired into various selection mechanisms so that their properties (for example, how much randomness is in their movement, how much food they can carry home at once, their speed, when they get hungry, how much food surplus they need before they reproduce) are optimized over time. And, of course, they fight to the death!
