I leave Zalissya and take the road west, past the Cowsheds and on the fork going to the Pontoon Bridge, to arrive in the Ward territory of the Chemical Plant. Once on the other shore, I followed it south, all the way to the sunken road that went to the Burnt Forest. This time after crossing, I went west to new territory, seeing some compound on the hill to the north, close to the edge of the river.

I went around this to the south, keeping on the unburned ground and make an arc to the other side of the compound. I saw a large rock formation, just outside the compound on the west side. I went towards it, where my HUD showed there was a side-mission available. The Loner needed a Detector, and I gave him the spare Echo I had on me. The Loner gave me some coupons and also offered information on four locations in the Burnt Forest. Three of the four locations I had already been to. Perun's Hill, the Cemetery and the School. The new one, now marked on my PDA is the Krug Antenna array which unlike the other three to the east, is to the southwest of me.

I left the Loner and walked around to the back of the compound, now identified as the Distribution Substation. I was looking for a ladder, which is my favorite way to enter a new compound if available, to get up high safe from mutants. There was a ladder in the back, but it was broken and unusable. I went to the north, to look over the edge of the bluff at the river below. That is when I was suddenly faced with Bandits and got into a firefight with seven or so of the gang. After the battle, I had so much loot, I abandoned my plans to explore the Distribution Substation and took the loot back to my stash in Cherevach.
