Both the SEVA-D (Duty) and SEVA-V (Freedom) can be upgraded to 6 kg and 5 artifact slots. You have to be careful and choose the 1 kg weight reduction on the SEVA-D to get the additional 5 kg of carrying weight, like both suits can get. While the SEVA-D has a small increase of Psi Protection and Physical Protection over the SEVA-V, the SEVA-V has much greater radiation protection and small increases of electrical and chemical protection. The reason I think the SEVA-V is the better choice, is it has two shielded artifact slots, whereas the SEVA-D has only one. That is more valuable to me than the small increases the SEVA-D has over the SEVA-V. You just have to decide what is more important to you.

Game Note: The SEVA-D and SEVA-V came up in conversation, so I wanted to upgrade the SEVA-D and compare it to the SEVA-V I had previously been wearing. I will be returning to a manual save made, before I spent the coupons on the SEVA-D, that will remain un-upgraded.
