I was returning from my short trip to the river's edge to the west. I had a full load of loot, that I took back to SYC Malachite. For now, I am storing it and will get the repairs later. With good weather and half a day left of daylight, I decided to set out to the south, to go to the second location for the equipment reboot for Needle. Like the first one, I was going to a location I had never been before.

I went along the cliff face, off the main road, always keeping a wall to my back, in case I am attacked by mutants. When the cliff face turned to the east, I had to leave it and go south towards a new location marked as Level Crossing. There was a small building along the railroad tracks, that I looked through the window and saw someone sitting inside. When I went around to the door, my HUD showed them as an enemy, so I shot them before they could do anything.

From there I went to the south-east where the land got lower and swampy. I had to find a path around the water and towards my objective. My PDA informed me I had now entered the Duga Territory, for the first time. There were several buildings ahead, either damaged or partially in the water. I went straight towards a structure that was a collapsed roof and got on top of it. No sooner did I do that, when I was attacked by two Bloodsuckers. Underneath the roof is where the scientific equipment was located that I had to reboot. I did that, briefly explored the sunken house with a dead body inside, and I decided to head back and I stopped by the Malachite Repair Station, that was full of Duty and some free Flesh mutant parts.

Game Note: I had to restart my game from the last freeze, which is a great reminder to make frequent manual and autosaves.
