Judging by multiple "Leap of Faith" videos here on YT, there are spots in the game where you can jump from a high height and not die by landing on a Springboard anomaly.
These wooden planks remind me of Dying Light 1. They served there as a marker that a player can perform a jump from such a spot.

There is an achievement in Steam called "Bounce", but it seems to be intended only for the special portal jump in Stechanka ("Стечанка") village (on the southern-west part of the Zone, next to "Duga" station), because there you just teleport 30 meters up in the air and fall down on a Springboard.
