"Stalwart Shell is Useless. Learn to dodge!"
A showcase of Stalwart Shell, which offers some interesting types of gameplay, suited for a lot of different playstyles, some less obvious than others. I also have a Discord server now, welcome all: https://discord.gg/q5vY6PqGYX
The math involved calculating the amount of i-frames and the damage output was pretty challenging and we might have made some mistakes. Here are the numbers we were able to get:
Stalwart Shell: (per what we can see and the wiki)
1.75 Seconds of i-frames
0.08 seconds of recoil lock (meaning we cannot move right after getting hit)
= 1.67 seconds of usable i-frames.
Quick Slash: (per what we can see and the wiki)
0.28 seconds of an active hitbox
0.25 seconds of cooldown
However due to the way the game is programmed, by using footage and analysing frame-by-frame we found that the cooldown is actually around 0.22 seconds, which happens if you cancel the animation by turning.
The physics and calculations in this game is whack, but if you manage to do the cancellation each time you get 4 hits per second, and a dps of 128.
With Stalwart equipped in 1.67 seconds we can get:
4 hits for the first 1 second and an additional 2 for the remainder. If you also get in a hit or 2 before taking damage you can get 7-8 hits. And that gives a whooping 224 - 256 damage if done perfectly.
For Healing:
1.141 seconds for a normal heal. This includes a 0.25 crouch animation for the first mask. Subsequent heals doesn't have this so these take 0.891. Two heals takes about 2 seconds. Note that this also includes the time it takes before you can move again after the heal.
Quick Focus: 0.594 + 0.25 = 0.844 seconds for one heal. Two heals would be 1.438 seconds.
Deep Focus: 1.470 + 0.25 = 1.72 seconds. You also need 33 Soul instead of 66.
For the most part healing two masks with Quick Focus, or even with no charms, is better than Deep Focus if you can get Soul, despite Deep Focus using half the Soul and taking less time than two normal heals.
Combining the two gives a heal time of 1.22 seconds (based on frame-by-frame analysis), which is slightly more than a normal heal.
If Stalwart Shell is used you have 1.67 seconds to heal, which is more than enough to heal (1.22 seconds) two masks of damage.
