Requested by several people, here is why you should consider using Grubberfly's Elegy if you prefer to keep your distance, especially on Radiant or while doing the Delicate Flower Quest where taking damage is an automatic fail anyways. While there are situations when Mark of Pride is better, certain bosses like Markoth are hard to reach and using spells is not always easy. Please take breaks with this strategy as spamming Nail Strikes are hard on your wrists and hands.

With Fury of the Fallen active Elegy is re-activated and the damage stacks up. Mark of Pride makes the Beams slightly wider, but they do not reach further. There is no interaction with Longnail. Quick Slash works the same by effectively doubling your output. Heavy Blow applies the same Stagger reduction and knocks things further away. Steady Body is less useful for the Beams but will help if you end up in reach for normal Nail Hits.

Damage values when using Pure Nail:

Pure Nail + Elegy:
- Beams: 10 dmg
- Both: 21 dmg*

Pure Nail + Elegy + Unbreakable Strength:
- Beams: 16 dmg
- Both: 31 dmg*

Pure Nail + Elegy + Unbreakable Strength + Fury of the Fallen:
- Beams: 24 dmg
- Both: 56 dmg*

*when in close quarters the beams pass through the enemies and only the damage from the Nail counts, hence why the damage for Both only lists the actual Nail damage.

For Absolute Radiance I Overcharm on Ascended to instantly activate Fury of the Fallen, but doing normal hits are also extremely useful in this fight on Radiant as the Beams can reach her from the ground in Phases 1-3, making jumping up to reach her unnecessary. This makes dodging her attacks safer.

I am using Quality of Life (QoL) for Absolute Radiance to avoid having to sit through the Cutscene before the fight every time. It has no other impact on the fight. It is on the Modinstaller, found by asking in the Hollow Knight main discord server. I am playing on 1.4.3.2.
