28Star Citizen has been in development for over a decade and has been very harshly criticized over the years being called fake or a scam. In recent days we got a new look at the single-player game set in Star Citizen, Squadron 42, and not only does it look amazing - it seems to have changed many people's perceptions of the game. We've seen games like Baulder's Gate 3 have wild success after lengthy early access times so it makes me ask - Is Star Citizen doing their Live Service game the perfect way by not only having people in the game for over a decade but having a single player entry point game as well?
Star Citizen is an in-development multiplayer, space trading and combat simulation game. The game is being developed and published by Cloud Imperium Games for Microsoft Windows. An extended retry of unrealized plans for Freelancer, Star Citizen is being led by director Chris Roberts.
