This is for Star Citizen version 3.8, and while the main gist of these missions hasn't changed in many updates, anything could happen in the future.

Delivery missions are mainly why I bought Star Citizen, and I hope they get more complicated as time goes on. For now we have access to very basic box deliveries for a lot of credits and little risk, the biggest hurdle is the time required to complete them. These are not the same as cargo, but the idea is the same. Cargo is riskier because it's your money you're putting into the trip, and if you die or glitch out on the way, all of that might disappear.
