Let's Play Star Ruler 2 as the Mono

7 player game on "The Expanse" style map as the Mono. After playing the Terrakin game, I feel I've got a pretty good handle on the basics so have pushed the difficulty up to hard and added an extra AI opponent. I will be using pre-designed ships for this game, but will try and explain my reasoning behind them.

Star Ruler 2 is a space 4x game by Blind Mind Studios. It has a great in-depth ship designer wherein you get to determine the shape, size and position of all the components of each ship using a hex layout. It also supports massive real time combat involving hundreds or even thousands of ships battling it out at once and runs very smoothly as it does so. Both of these can be tested out in a designs sandbox, which is great fun in itself. It is definitely worth a look for 4x fans, particularly for those of Sins of a Solar Empire.
