Star Soldier 2 Minute Run No Miss Nintendo Gamecube (Hudson)
0Star Soldier reboot of sorts originally for the Nintendo GameCube. It plays fairly similarly to the originals aside from the addition of speed select and auto-fire functionality respectively of I'm not mistaken (though you are still rewarded with a thicker and more damaging shot if you use standard button presses so it is definitely still beneficial to utilize this whenever possible, this is especially noticeable in situations where you want to point blank an enemy quickly). There is also a melee type attack that deals a large amount of damage to enemies as well as destroying a small amount of bullets directly in front of the player ship as well as I THINK granting an ever so brief period of invulnerability. The title also features decent polygonal 3D graphics which may also be a series first (though I'm not one hundred percent certain of this information).
My best run so far though this is in a very limited play time. I mainly chose this as it was the first of my few runs that resulted in a no miss clear. I will try the 5 minute caravan mode next for a bit before checking out the "normal" game.
