First off, let me apologize for the video quality. This was a poor quality video to begin with, ran through an older version of Premiere that likes to do funny things to it.
One of the complaints many have with The Motion Picture was its pacing. And one place where pacing seems to suffer was during one of its "action scenes" involving the wormhole. The entire scene is lacking music. I don't know if this was intentional, or if the director simply felt it wasn't needed,... but I have taken the scene in question and added a few music tracks from the Original Series, and feel they help add a little something that the scene really needed, kicking up its pace. Though admittedly, I trimmed some parts out as well, notably the first few seconds where there was no relevant dialog.
Note, I do not own legal rights to Star Trek, any of the films, or the music in question. This is merely an interesting what-if that I wished to share. All copyrights and licenses are owned by Paramount and CBS.
