A few months ago we sat down with Michael Chang Gummelt one of the developers and the script writer of Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force. He not only told us a lot about the development of the game, but also about his concept of a new Star Trek series.

You, know, I think the game shipped with the feature I mentioned (51:21) about being able to talk to the crew members might still be in there - sort of. The way it worked was I used windows speech recognition to send console commands to the game. The console commands are probably still there! Probably something like “say’ or “speak”? Followed by the character’s name and the command?

Oh, btw, I looked into the picture of the team posing with an assimilated Raven logo and spoke to Brian Raffel about it - we’re certain that someone photoshopped that image and that the original version of that picture is just our normal Raven logo. (1:15:17)
