This release has several interesting changes:

- Is much newer code-wise, being version 1.20 instead of 1.00.

- The disc contains an extra loader folder, as well as a custom two-executable system to boot the game. It works fine if you just load the last one directly, so the reason why this was set up is probably really specific.

- USB keyboard support is finally completely stripped out, as the executables have been modified to not load the driver for it.

- Autosaving has been completely removed, which I found out the hard way.

- Normally when destroying a large enemy ship or structure, the screen flashes white to simulate a large explosion, but here that doesn't happen.

- Some late-game levels appear to have fog disabled which looks really weird.

- Main menu has an altered logo that appears with an animation.

- The main menu's music has a slightly shorter loop, but I'm not sure if it sounds better or worse.

- The intro FMV has subtitles during the opening crawl.

- The "Load" and "Save" menus have been condensed into one menu called "Game Data".

- Two bugs that show up when emulated don't on this release, but the Kethor softlock is still present which is why there's a cut near the end of that mission's gameplay. I didn't know if it had been fixed so I was just testing before I brought in my workaround mod.

- An animated graphic in the cheat code screen has been removed.

- Strangely, the invincibility cheat has been changed. The new word is completely undocumented, even in Japanese media... until now! It's "DARKSIDE". You might find this cheat code online for a PS2 Star Wars game, but there's a good reason for this - it's the invincibility code for Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The bad one, not the 3D animated series. It just so happens to be what it was changed to, and this was discovered while this video was still uploading, and while better brute-forcer scripts were being made to find it faster.

There's an Asian release of the game that has the same changes, but it's in English.
