StarCraft 2: Beating Mass Stargate Void Ray & Carrier in Zerg vs Protoss! (Zerg Tutorial)
2,268Sometimes you will come across a Protoss player that doesn't like to move out. He simply sits back off of a couple of bases and gets a huge army out while turtling. The thing is that once Protoss maxes out it is very difficult to face them head in. In this particular game of StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void I play a Zerg versus Protoss where the Protoss oponnent decides to simply sit back, take it easy and try to max out on Stargates.
The first step to beating mass Stargate when they go for both Carriers as well as Void Rays is identifying the scenario. In this particular game I scout the double Stargate early and respond accordingly to it. However, after analysing that my opponent went for a fast third base and added on a lot of Photon Cannons it is relatively obvious that he is not planning on moving out.
The strongest unit composition from Zerg against mass Stargate units is Queens and Corruptors. If you have the resources and APM to use Parasitic Bomb from the Viper and the Fungal Growth from the Infestor they can be a huge help as well.
