StarCraft 2 Heart of the Swarm Zerg Build Order - Leenocks Zergling Ultralisk Queen Strategy
369In StarCraft 2 there are a few new viable build orders in Zerg versus Protoss. In this episode of StarCraft 2 Heart of the Swarm study we take a look at a build order that Leenock recently executed during the Dreamhack StarCraft 2 event versus players such as NaNiwa.
Zerg Build Order
15hatch
16pool
16gas
@Pool: Double Queen and scout if necissary
3rd queen immediately at natural
@100 Gas: Ling Speed
@200 Gas: Double Evolution Chamber, start +1+1
@100 Gas: Lair
7:30 3rd Base, start adding more gasses
9:00 (when you can afford it) Macro hatchery
@Lair: Instant infestation pit
+2+2 As soon as +1+1 finishes.
@Infestation pit: Instant Hive
When Hive finishes you instantly start Adrenal glands, Ultralisk Cavern, and +3+3 as soon as you can.
Optional:
Add Infestors
Add more Queens to heal the Ultralisks
Build Order Notes
Keep in mind that Leenock went for a Hatchery first in this game but you don’t have to. You can simply switch the Spawning Pool and Hatchery timings around to make it more awesome.
Around 9:00 there should be a 3rd base building or started for the Protoss player. If this is NOT the case, make mass units and Spine Crawlers to defend the Protoss 2 base push.
Use Queens to Transfuse the Ultralisks and make them even more awesome than they already are.
Add in a few Infestors to lock down the Protoss army if you’re good at fungling. Not completely necissary.
If you start missing injects, simply add more macro hatcheries.
