StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void - Zerg Build Order! (Guide)
1,472StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void is currently in beta. That means that there are things that will be changing to the game that may mean that you will have to adjust the build order to the new situation. On top of that, there is likely still room for optimization with this build order as well. Use it, but be smart about it and adjust where necessary.
The basic goal of this Zerg build order for StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void is to get Ultralisks out with maxed out upgrades, including Chitinous Plating, as soon as possible. To supplement those Ultralisks you are aiming to get Zerglings out with Adrenal Glands early on as well.
Legacy of the Void Zerg build order:
- 17 Hatchery
- 20 Spawning Pool
- 20 Extractor
- When the Spawning Pool finishes make 4 Queens as soon as possible.
- At 100 Vespene Gas: Metabolic Boost (Zergling Speed)
- At 200 Vespene Gas: Double Evolution Chamber
- When the Zergling Speed finishes, make a group of Zerglings for scouting and defense.
- At 250 Vespene Gas: Double upgrades and a third Hatchery (if not taken earlier)
- At 100 Vespene Gas: Lair
- At Lair: Hydralisk Den and Infestation Pit
- At Double Upgrades: Start +2+2 Double Upgrades
- At Infestation Pit: Hive
- At Hive: Adrenal Glands and Ultralisk Cavern
- At Ultralisk Cavern: Chitinous Plating
- At Double Upgrades: Start +3+3 Double Upgrades
If executed correctly, this build order can give you a very strong win ratio in Zerg versus Protoss and in Zerg versus Terran. It is all about surviving the early and mid game, and then dominating in the late game, while adjusting where necessary.
