Umbra first caught my eye as a beautiful action RPG a while ago. The graphics are achieved with the Cryengine. The game features an open world action role playing game with a focus on hack and slash.
On top of the open world, the game features custom item crafting and player housing. Besides that, the dungeons in the game are randomly generated so they will look and feel different for everyone else.
Keep in mind that the video shows the technical prototype and is by no means the final version of the game. The build was designed to showcase some gameplay, and most of the gameplay mechanics are removed.
Umbra is being developed by SolarFall Games, a new small indie studio.
An isometric view open world action-RPG taking place in a corrupted world falling apart. You are a former officer of army of the Human Republic, forced to flee the death penalty because of the magic powers you have unwillingly developed.
Being tracked down by humans and hunted by the monsters of the Wild, you are recruited by a mysterious group of Templars. And thus an epic adventure begins in which you will wander the world to fight inhuman, mutated monsters and discover the terrible secret of the extinguishing mankind.
