12Hey guys! I'm starting a new game on Stardew Valley and thought it would be nice to do a first day tips/walkthrough sort of video! I'm also playing on the new Riverlands map that was released with the 1.1 Update, so that's cool too! The tips along with timestamps are listed below!

Tips:
1. Set up your preferred options! (00:41)
Selecting "Always Show Tool Hit Location" is a huge help in farming and so are adding the zoom buttons!
2. Clear an area of your farm. (01:12)
This place looks like crap! We need to clear an area for our farm.
3. Watch TV every morning. (03:09)
Mostly for weather & luck prediction, but the farm tips and those delicious recipes can't hurt either!
4. Craft a chest. (04:25)
That tiny inventory isn't gonna get us far! Craft a chest on day 1 to help with inventory management.
5. Get basic farm going (06:12)
Use those free parsnips and whatever else you can get your hands on to start your humble farm.
6. Use Spare Energy To Gather Resources (07:43)
Got extra energy left? Make the most of it and keep clearing, gathering resources, fishing, whatever!
7. Sort and sell before bed (10:41)
Use the last bit of time in the day to sort your inventory and put anything to sell in the shipping box beside your house!
