Starfield on a potato PC Part 12 Expanding my ship
NOTE: This part was recorded before the latest patches dropped by Bethesda which means that the game now looks and performs better than in this video. What is more, meanwhile, there had been an update of NVidia drivers due to the release of CP2077 Phantom Liberty. Maybe it was a coincidence but that is when my game started to have random CTDs and freezes. So whenever there is a minor lack of continuity in music or scene, or I do something one more time - that is because of those problems.
For all the 'whys', please read the description of the first video in this playthrough.
In this part: I just try to figure out the ship building aspect of the game by adding new modules to The Frontier. I had to get through the process several times. First time, I though all the decorations vanished for good (they are stored in the ship storage). Also, my surved data disks got glitched, all of them got stacked as survey of one planet (I want to collect and keep them, so I had to reload). Then, I had to find a module with an interior that would suit me. All in all, the ship building could have been done a bit better :D
My specs are as follows:
Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6GB
Intel Core i5-7400 CPU 3.00 GHz
24 Gigs of RAM
Although those are not "weak" specs (I have been able to play any game that has been released so far), I have been so far unable to play Starfield without major performance issues.
Thus, this is HOW THE GAME ACTUALLY LOOKS on lower settings, with a texture mod installed.
