I have suffered through the DLC.

I have mercilessly cut the recording because noone in his right mind would want to see me looting corpses and boxes literally for HOURS on end or shooting endlessly respawning ghosts.

Not only driving around sucks due to HORRIBLE controls, but also the game engine is not designed for such a quick movement across the terrain and happily ranges from 30 to 80 megabytes per second of disk read (at some point it spiked at 200!). Those players that have the game on mechanical HDDs are screwed. Moving around on foot is a very disk hungry process as well.

00:00 Obligatory faction mission about the secret lab at the dam that was established by Jinan (grandfather of Anasko), where we learn about the ghosts. No rivers bring water to this dam, and no waters go through it. Even if it's "abandoned", waters MUST flow through it, or the dam will eventually be destroyed. Thus, the choice in the mission's end makes no sense.

18:07 I don't give a rat's ass about those seaweed farmers, imma gonna kill ya'll! (On a side note: the pods are EMPTY, and they shouldn't be, as evidenced later.)

21:01 I expected to see the whole place devastated by rushing water or at least flooded, but the devs couldn't be arsed to make changes to the level.

21:55 We have all that we need to dispel the magical barrier.

25:04 Fire away!

25:50 Everyone is super-happy that the magical barrier is gone, even though it is still VERY MUCH PRESENT, because the devs couldn't be arsed to time the changes to the level precisely, even when it's about the main plot of the DLC. Only some time later a breach in the barrier appears.

26:43 The scientists COME to their workplaces, while making comments how happy they are that their work here is DONE (facepalm), because the devs couldn't be... you get it.

26:58 What did you expect? You ARE the Chosen One! Naturally, everyone ALWAYS ignores Andreja's comments AND presence, because the devs couldn't be... you get it.

29:36 On my way to the Scale Citadel.

30:51 Inside. Naturally, Andreja doesn't bother even mentioning how weird it must look for her that I talk to the air for the longest time (she can't see Anasko, nobody can except my character), because recording those lines for all the possible partners would be too much work for the devs.

33:37 Making my way to the research level.

34:53 Power reset.

35:27 The reactor level and the BIG REVEAL that anyone with half a brain saw a mile away. It's time to fuck things up.

42:51 Even for this crucial moment in the story the devs couldn't be arsed to record a single line of opinion about it all for Andreja. Because why bother?

42:58 Making my way up.

43:51 Museum of the Serpent's Crusade. The devs couldn't be arsed to make different, "older" models of ships and equipment for this era, because why bother?

45:40 High Council chamber.

46:08 Anasko's quarters. His grandfather's recordings dating back to: when he's just seen the Great Serpent, when he tells his people about the Great Serpent (apparently, his words alone were enough to convince everyone), and when he declares the Serpent's Crusade ("hiss of reason" had me laughing uncontrollably); and Anasko's musings. I was hoping to find unique loot, but the devs couldn't be arsed to create it.

52:45 The final battle is upon us. And before you ask, no, you can't join Anasko without immediately dying. Making the alternate ending where House Va'ruun starts another Serpent's Crusade would be too much work for the devs.

54:25 Of course, you can't SIMPLY kill Anasko, the dev's must drag you through the obligatory switches/weak spots combo while you are being besieged by wave after wave of unending enemies. So original!!

54:50 I must run, and I have no idea where I am and where to run, while the world explodes all around me. I hate it.

57:22 So cinematic! ...I'm joking, it's garbage. Obligatory fade to black "Broken steel" style.

57:46 "I think House Va'ruun is dead". There's no doubt in my mind that this bunch if bickering impotents will run Va'ruun into the ground. As usual, even for this crucial outcome in the story, the devs couldn't be arsed to record a single line of opinion about it for Andreja. Because why bother?

To sum it all up.

Bethesda, much like BioWare and CDPR, completely lost its ability not only to create RPG, but to create even an illusion of RPG, where your choices seem to matter. Bethesda is creatively bankrupt, and even as an action game it sucks. (And no, having a character's progression system and a couple of different endings does not make a game RPG, just like "Bioshock" was not an RPG.)

The biggest chore was, as strange it may sound, looting for ammo. Enemies never drop enough of it and of the right variety. Ability to create ammo is locked under a grind. Obtaining materials for ammo is locked under a grind. The shops never have enough material and ammo, and the prices... ugh... A high-powered rifle and a spaceship have nearly the SAME cost!
