Starsector ( formerly Starfarer ) is an open-world single-player space-combat game with roleplaying, exploration and economics. you take the role of a space captain seeking fortune and glory however you choose. Starsector is currently in development by Fractal Softworks. The gameplay of starsector is similar to the mount and blade series except in 2D, and in space ( obviously no horse can make it into space and fire lasers ).
