Well, looks like most of the single worlds have been capture, so next time I'll probably have to pick a battle with another empire. Generally early on it seems best to get as many independent worlds under your banner first, and THEN take on whichever homeworlds are accessible and unguarded... unlike what I had tried to do in the moderate level failed start basically. -_-
