Starting a New Challenge! Pokemon GENERATIONLOCKE LIVE
11Welcome to the channel, and welcome to the Generationlocke! We are starting a new nuzlocke challenge today spanning TEN GAMES! We have to start with Generation 1 (3) with Pokemon FireRed!
Generationlocke Nuzlocke Rules:
1. Any Pokémon that faints must be released or boxed permanently. It is considered “dead” for the rest of the challenge.
2. Only the first wild Pokémon encountered in a route or area can be caught. If the player fails to catch it (ie. it flees or faints), their opportunity to catch a Pokémon in that area is lost.
3. The player must nickname all Pokémon they catch or obtain. (This is not technically necessary for the challenge run, but is universally accepted as part of a Nuzlocke.)
4. When a run is completed, baby versions of the surviving Hall of Fame team are transferred to the player’s party in the next game
a. The player may also choose to give bonuses to Pokemon that survive for multiple generations, such as allowing them to learn an Egg move or to be bred with a selected Nature. This encourages long-term attachment to specific Pokemon and additional incentives for keeping them alive, but is not strictly necessary.
5. The challenge is completed when a game from every generation has been completed (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova 1 and Unova 2, Kalos, Alola, Galar, and Paldea)
