This time I used value 8B, which gave more 'valid' results than the previous value, 87 (135) which sent me into a boundless Pokémon Centre 'glitch city'. This value sent me into Pallet Town (but through a normal 'entrance point'), therefore loading the graphics correctly instead of spawning a Glitch City of it. You can replicate this Pallet Town spawn before the game starts with the GameShark code is 01877EE5 on Pokémon Yellow.

Q)Why aren't the player's and rival's names set to NINTEN and SONY?
A)They are only set to these when you open the New Game screen (though you never see it because you have to add your own name, or choose one of the provided anyway otherwise for some reason the game takes them as ' '.
